Cross Save enables players to share their Marathon account, including progress and gear, across any platform linked to their Bungie Profile.
Additionally, each player receives a Bungie Name and a Bungie Friends List, which can be accessed on all linked platforms.
Set Up
Setting up Cross Save for Marathon is as simple as linking your platform account to your Bungie.net Profile.

NOTE: Game platforms cannot be unlinked after linking is complete.
Linking Multiple Marathon Accounts
Marathon characters and data are stored on a player's Bungie Account, which is different from the Bungie.net Profile and only stores game data.
When linking platform accounts, players who have separate Marathon accounts across multiple platforms will be given a choice to choose which Marathon account progress to keep if linking to the same Bungie.net Profile.
After both confirmation windows, Marathon progress on the accounts not chosen will be deleted and replaced with the chosen account progress.
This is a permanent action and cannot be undone! Please consider your choices carefully.

Players encountering issues locating their account on other platforms are recommended to try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Exit the game, quit the app, restart your platform, then log back in to Marathon to see if anything changes.
- Log out of the game and head to Bungie.net. Log in, go to your Profile Settings, then click the Account Linking button, confirm that the platform account you're attempting to play on is the same one linked to your Profile, and then log back in.
- Platform accounts must be linked to the same Bungie.net Profile for a Marathon account to be accessed on those platforms. To link an account to a Bungie Profile, please visit our Bungie.net Account Creation and Linking Guide for more information.
Players who experience authentication errors when attempting to link their platform accounts may want to try the following to resolve their issue:
- Clear the browser's cookies and cache, then try again
- Open an incognito private window, then try again
- Use another browser and try again
