Game stuttering and only seems to load when tabbed out.

Well im also getting a paprika so i cant change the settings to have vsync off which i suspect is the issue however, when it was working i had just installed it and when i stay tabbed into the game it moves at like 2 frames a second. When i tab out it loads properly. I already alt+enter ed to try and see if windowed mode would fix it but nope didnt help. All my clipping software is off too so whats the issue ? Bad free launch. Two errors and i havent even created an account yet. prolly deleting if its not fixed soon.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

In the absence of scheduled maintenance, Paprika errors are indicative of network issues. These can be caused by problems affecting your specific network hardware, packet loss, or greater issues affecting your ISP which are being passed on to you.

To that point, we recommend consulting our Network Troubleshooting Guide to explore potential solutions. If that doesn't help, the next step would be checking our Optimizing Connections page.

As for the issue with the stuttering, please try the following:

    1. Turn off G-Sync / FreeSync, VSync, and any frame generation
    2. Turn off HDR
    3. If you can’t open settings, edit %appdata%\Bungie\Cloud Test\Prefs\cvars.xml and change the window mode there
    4. Relaunch and test again

If it still only runs correctly when tabbed out, please send:

    • Your GPU + driver version
    • Monitor refresh rate
    • Whether G-Sync/FreeSync/HDR is enabled
    • Whether it happens on a single monitor
  • I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU (8 GB) and its on game ready 610.47

  • Hi again,

While it may be possible to play on certain laptop configurations, we do not officially support them per our Marathon Storage and System Requirements guide.

That being said, please try these steps:

    • In Windows Graphics Settings, set the game to High Performance
    • Open Task Manager while the game is running and check the GPU Engine column to confirm it’s using the dedicated GPU, not the integrated one
    • Delete %appdata%\Bungie\Cloud Test\Prefs\cvars.xml and relaunch so the game rebuilds graphics settings
    • If you’re using an **external monitor or dock**, try the laptop screen by itself once, since some laptops can behave oddly with GPU routing on external displays

  • I was able to fix the stuttering however the paprika error code is still there and im not exactly sure where to find exact steps to fix it. Someone suggested playing during down times?
