Lost all my purple gear due to server issue during key run. Wouldnt let me reconnect until the match was over and got eliminated.

Me and my duo got disconnected due to the server issue everyone experienced and couldnt reconnect until the match was over. How do I go about getting my items back?

We're sorry to hear about this issue.
In the event that an error occurs with Bungie’s server or network infrastructure, connection recovery may not be possible. We will attempt to ensure that any players affected by a server error will have their starting gear returned to them.
Note: Gear refund only applies to a subset of server error conditions, and will not cover gameplay losses due to Internet connectivity or client-side problems.

No, It's not a problem with our network, or anything like that, it's not a client-side issue. Both my teammate and I were disconnected at the same time, 12.00am GMT+2, and a lot of people who reported this issue on both the forum and Discord were disconnected as well.
This was a bungie-server issue and not client side or network. That should be evident by all the similar complaints coming in today.
