South American server is down?

Whenever i try to matchmake into any map, i get a "high ping error" despite the fact my internet is showing no signs of slowdown through speedtests. I can only matchmake by enabling the "default" matchmaking option and it automatically places me in high ping North American server matches (despite being blocked from matchmaking for high ping in my local server). It is not just me, i have the same issue with my local friends in-game that try to matchmake with connection quality preference. Up until this latest update ( Update 1.1.9.4 ) , the matchmaking and servers were working perfectly fine and found matches quickly

The error persists through trios, solos, duos all 3 available maps
i am on PC

Error Code: Passionfruit means that you are being prevented from entering matchmaking due to our system detecting too high ping. It can also indicate that you are likely experiencing poor or inconsistent networking conditions.

To that point, we recommend consulting our Network Troubleshooting Guide to explore potential solutions. We also have an Advanced Troubleshooting Guide. If that doesn't help, the next step would be checking our Optimizing Connections page.

If the above guides did not help, we would also recommend trying the following:
- Fully restart Marathon and Steam, then confirm the update is installed.
- Set Ping Priority to Prefer Local Matches and try matchmaking again. Using Default may place you in matches with increased latency.
- If possible, test once with a wired connection and with any VPN or routing software disabled.
If the issue continues, please send us your ISP name, the approximate time of your last attempt, and a screenshot of the error, and any error code shown.
