Error code weasel followed by goji

Hey everyone!

I recently bought Marathon after hearing great things about it and playing ARC Raiders with some friends who wanted to make the switch. Unfortunately, I haven't actually been able to play the game yet.

When I first launched the game, I was repeatedly met with WEASEL error codes that prevented me from logging in. After restarting the game several times and eventually restarting my PC, I was finally able to get in.

I managed to watch the opening cutscene and reach what I assume is the introductory run selection screen, where three card-like items appear. However, nothing ever seems to load, and after sitting there for a while, I eventually get disconnected with a GOJI error.

I'm running a pc with windows 11 and nothing installed besides like steam & some games, firefox, discord and some other random apps since I upgraded from windows 10 to 11 less than a week ago. I also using a ethernet connection, but I haven’t gotten any issues with any other games or apps I play.

I've restarted my pc and game, verified game files, and reinstalled, but nothing seems to fix it. I'm most confused about the GOJI error since nothing I should have should cause this, at least to my knowledge. (Unless some bios settings need to be on, as I think I reset them when I updated my bios for valorant lol)

If you guys have any suggestions please let me know, I'm happy to provide screenshots, logs, recordings or specs if that will help fix the issue. Thanks!

Also this is technically repost as I posted it to the wrong forum, thx!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I'm glad to hear that the issue has been resolved and that you're able to play the game.

Error code GOJI indicates that Marathon has detected a problem with your computer that may be in violation of Bungie's Terms of Use. Error code: WEASEL typically signifies you’re encountering a broad networking problem.

If you do encounter the Weasel error again, we recommend you refer to our
Network Troubleshooting Guide to see if it helps resolve the issue. We also have an Advanced Troubleshooting Guide, if the Network Troubleshooting Guide did not help.

  • Hey yall just wanted to update you guys! I wasn't able to troubleshoot the original issue. But I reflashed my bios bc there was a new update and I also reinstalled windows and it worked!

    Hope this helps you guys!
