Consistent Error Code "Basil" in searching for a match

Playing from Australia on Steam, Squintus#8746
Since the Cryo Archive update I have been getting consistent Basil error codes when matchmaking in an odd pattern
First attempt will 99% of the time result in an error code of Basil after a significant wait time and back to menu
Second attempt will always load into a match without any sort of adjustment to settings or connectivity
Visiting the Basil error code help page tells me to have a strong connection or that servers might be down, though I have an ethernet cable in my pc and it has not been during server downtime, it's a consistent issue that also affects my teammates if I load in with friends. They will get code Ginger which indicates it's an issue on my end. Using Starlink and an ethernet cable. Internet hasn't been in any sort of downtime and it's always consistent, even with others also using the same bandwidth for other games and services, this is an issue unique to the game that was not a factor before the Cryo Archive update.
I've tried changing my DNS settings to google defaults from some Reddit advice but that hasn't seemed to resolve the problem either.
My concern with using UPnP is the risk it poses to not just my computer but also other computers at home using the same router. It's a frustrating issue but not enough to want to risk the negatives that come with using UPnP.
I love this game so much but this issue has been extremely frustrating for not just myself but others I queue up with, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching out.

If you’re encountering the BASIL error code, please try logging out of the game and back in to see if it resolves the issue. In the absence of scheduled maintenance, Paprika errors are indicative of network issues. These can be caused by problems affecting your specific network hardware, packet loss, or greater issues affecting your ISP which are being passed on to you.

If that doesn’t help and there is no scheduled maintenance, please refer to our Network Troubleshooting Guide to explore potential solutions to the problem. We have an Advanced Troubleshooting Guide as well.

If that doesn't help, the next step would be checking our Optimizing Connections page. Following that, if issues still persist, we would recommend reaching out to your ISP for more hands-on assistance in troubleshooting your network setup.

  • Thank you for replying.

My constant error code I keep getting is W:8:00002EF1
I've gone back through the listed help suggestions and tried again to figure the problem out from there but was unsuccessful.
I don't understand what problem could be on my end as this was not an issue at all until Cryo Archive came out, I have never had this consistent issue and I have not altered or changed my set up since the game released.

If there is anymore info or help that could be provided it would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

  • After trying some methods I had previously ignored with my modem reset it seems to have been solved.
Apologies for my inaction and thank you for your time.
