Why is Xbox matchmaking so much slower?

I play on Xbox and PC. Cross play is enabled for both. Hardware-wise, my Xbox is on an Ethernet connection directly to the router. The PC is on WiFi. I’ve noticed that Xbox matchmaking is consistently longer, especially for matches played as Rook. For reference, going to Dire Marsh as Rook: PC matchmaking: 0-15 seconds before loading into match Xbox matchmaking: 2-5 minutes Ostensibly we’re talking about the same map, the same player pool, same region (western US), generally played around the same time of day (I’ll play PC then hop on to Xbox after) but wildly different matchmaking times. Given that the PC is on WiFi I would think that might be the one with more issues connecting, but every day I’ve tried it’s the same story. Xbox takes forever to find a match as Rook (even sometimes timing out with an oregano error). Any insights would be appreciated

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out! Please try restarting the game, and if you're still experiencing this, please refer to our Network Troubleshooting Guide for troubleshooting the network settings on the Xbox console experiencing the issue.

Please also note that playing on a given platform will not allow you to be matched with players from other platforms who have cross-play turned off.
