(FIXED) Stuck on Error Code paprika - W:8:00002EF1 Suddenly

FIXED

Played during server slam fine, played pretty much since release perfectly fine on multiple PCs in the same house on the same network. Starting yesterday before and after the update when I get to the point where I click to continue to sign in it says signing in... followed by a black screen quickly turning red with the above error code. The only option is to go back and it does this every time. Through various attempts at fixing it it's done this probably 15 times now. Once again it still works perfectly fine on another PC on my dad's steam account on the network, just not my gaming PC on my account I want to play on. I've tried launching as administrator, verifying battleye is on, clearing download cache, adding an exception to my firewall for the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting my PC, none worked. Looking forward to playing during the duo test period too but I can't even sign on.

FIX - adding an additional firewall exception for BEService_x64.exe from this directory Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marathon\battleye fixed it. Hope this helps someone else.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching out.

If you’re encountering the PAPRIKA Error Code, please try logging out of the game and back in to see if it resolves the issue.

If that doesn’t help and there is no scheduled maintenance, please refer to our Network Troubleshooting Guide to explore potential solutions to the problem.

If you are using Kaspersky, have you tried Whitelisting both Marathon and BattlEye? Whitelisting an application helps prevent it from being blocked by your antivirus program.

To whitelist Marathon and BattlEye, open Kaspersky, go to Settings (Big Cog) > Security Settings (or Additional) > Threats and exclusions > Manage Exclusions and then add both Marathon and BattlEye and save.

I can tell you're an AI by the way you repeated something already in my post, so I'm not sure if replying is worth anything, but adding an additional whitelist for BEService_x64.exe from this directory Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marathon\battleye fixed it, public and private ofc. If you are a human, thank you.
