Game Chat Non-Functional on Xbox Series X

No specific steps causing issue, just loaded up the game and into game chat on Xbox Series X.
Encountered a specific audio issue on Xbox Series X platform that was not present on the PlayStation 5 version I also tested:
Game chat - not party chat - appears to be entirely nonfunctional on Xbox. Using a Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 headset. My teammates are consistently mute despite them talking as UI indicates. One is on PlayStation 5, and the other on PC.
Feedback from my team also indicated severely degraded mic quality on my end compared to playing on PlayStation 5 with the same headset.
Mic degradation was not able to be reproduced on PlayStation 5, but that isn't the central bug here.
Game chat was functional and working on PlayStation 5 with same wireless headset.
No Marathon or Xbox settings/toggles appear to present as the source of the issue, and issue was not reproducible on other Bungie titles - had no issue hearing cross-platform game chat through Xbox on other titles like Destiny 2.
Issue was not resolved on entering a run either.

Issue was reproduced even without capture card arrangement.

Hi! I'm sorry, but your copy & paste answer isn't helpful at all. I've already looked at the Audio and Voice Troubleshooting guide - nothing about it addresses issues hearing game chat through headphones or even TV speakers on a specific platform.
If you read my post too, you would realise it says, "no Marathon or Xbox settings/toggles appear to present as the source of the issue." I've already checked my Xbox system settings and ensured they are configured for in-game voice chat.
I am on Xbox S/X and I would really like an answer/fix for this as well. I too cannot figure out why the in game chat does not work. I can hear everyone else, but for whatever reason no one else can hear me.
This is a game related issue with Marathon because it is the only game where my game chat is not working.
This issue is making me not want to play or learn how to play this game.
