Error Code PAPRIKA W:8:00002EF1

Hello,

This issue occurs in Marathon every time I launch the game. One of my friends plays on a console at my house via Wi-Fi and doesn't experience any problems, whereas I'm connected to my PC via an Ethernet cable. This same bug happens about once every two matches, right after the loading screen.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching out.

If you’re encountering the PAPRIKA Error Code, please try logging out of the game and back in to see if it resolves the issue.

If that doesn’t help and there is no scheduled maintenance, please refer to our Network Troubleshooting Guide to explore potential solutions to the problem.

If you are using Kaspersky, have you tried Whitelisting both Marathon and BattlEye? Whitelisting an application helps prevent it from being blocked by your antivirus program.

To whitelist Marathon and BattlEye, open Kaspersky, go to Settings (Big Cog) > Security Settings (or Additional) > Threats and exclusions > Manage Exclusions and then add both Marathon and BattlEye and save.

  • I keep getting the “Paprika” error, and it's ruining my games, even though I don't have any issues with my other online games. I think it’s unfair that I’m being asked to contact my router manufacturer when the problem is on your end. I really love Marathon, but the “Paprika” error ruins my gaming experience, so I play it much less often now—and I want to clarify that I don’t use Kaspersky.
