Hard-Crashing on PS5 Pro

I’ve hard-crashed five separate times on PS5 Pro since Tuesday’s update. No in-game error codes, just straight to the PlayStation error report screen. Twice it’s happened mid-gunfight, but otherwise seems completely random. Every crash I’ve experienced prior to the most recent patch was contained within the game client and accompanied by an error code. These crashes are different and new. Extremely irritating and lame.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the report.

    If you are still experiencing crashing, can you please try the following:

    • Completely power down your PS5 (not rest mode), wait ~30 seconds, then start it back up.
    • Check for and install any system updates
    • On PS5, you can also try Rebuilding the Database by going into Safe Mode → Rebuild Database.
    • Reinstall Marathon and Clear your console's cache (Please check out this guide)

    Please make sure your console has good ventilation. Overheating can trigger safety shutdowns that look like random crashes.

    Also, does the crashing happen when completing a specific contract or by going to a specific area of a map?

    I’m pretty sure each crash has happened on Night Marsh, but what I happen to be doing at the time doesn’t seem to matter. I’ve crashed while fighting robots, while fighting other Runners, and while looting outside of combat. Will try reinstalling the game.
