W:8:00002EE2 - XBOX Error code when trying to login - March 20, 2026
I've reset my Xbox several times, including several hard resets. I've switched from wired to wireless and back to wired. I've unplugged Xbox and plugged it back in. I've restarted my Wi-Fi and it still won't log in, giving the following error.
"ATTENTION: Marathon servers are not available. Dismiss this message to try again. For more information, visit help.bungie.net. Additional information. W:8:00002EE2"

Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear that you are seeing this error code in the game. This generally appears when there are some connectivity issues present. It may be caused by some router settings that may be causing issues communicating with the server and with others. To rule out any issues, we'd recommend going through our Basic Network Troubleshooting and our Advanced Network Troubleshooting Guide.
this copy/paste response is laughable.... Neither the "Basic" nor "Advanced" fixes the problem. This problem is obviously on the SERVER side.
I tried both UPnP and manually opening/forwarding the required ports and neither fixed the problem. Besides.. i've been playing on XBOX since launch with NO problems and NOTHING has changed with my XBOX, Router, Internet connection.
