WEASEL ERROR IS DRIVING ME INSANE
I cannot play Marathon because I keep getting Error Code: WEASEL every time I try to log in.
Before anyone says “check your internet” — I already did everything.
I followed Bungie’s troubleshooting page:

Things I’ve already tried:

Restarting PC and router

Network troubleshooting

Verifying files

Logging out of other sessions

Every basic fix Bungie suggests
Bungie says WEASEL is usually a networking issue, but every other game works perfectly and my connection is fine.
They also say it can happen if you log into multiple platforms or if an account gets banned, but neither of those apply to me.
So right now I’m just locked out of the game with zero explanation.
If anyone actually fixed this garbage please tell me how, because at this point WEASEL is the only boss I’m fighting.

I'm sorry to hear that you are seeing this error code and can see that you have already gone through the appropriate troubleshooting steps. If the issue persists, we've received some reports of elevated instances of this error code and we are investigating the underlying issue.
Bro I have been having this issue since server slam with no response from Bungie. I bought the deluxe edition and have not been able to play for a single second.
I just want to update everyone and not run off after I found a fix and leave everyone hanging.
Legitimately the only thing that worked for me was freshly installing windows. I backed up all my important files to an external drive and did a complete fresh install of windows. Have not seen Weasel error ONCE.
I can confirm that two other people have done the same thing and are no longer getting weasel either.
Do what you want with this information but I can almost guarantee it will fix the weasel problem.
