Unusual lag spike or possible network attack

Hello,

I’d like to report an issue I experienced during a recent match in Marathon.

This occurred at approximately 18:00 during a Perimeter match. During the match, I suddenly experienced a very strong rubberbanding/lag spike that lasted around 4–5 seconds. During this time, I lost control of my character entirely. When the connection stabilized, I found that I had been killed and lost all my gear.

What stood out to me is that this was not a normal lag spike I’ve experienced before. My overall internet connection seemed stable, and the issue appeared isolated to the game. Additionally, another player (username: Rigg3r, if I recall correctly) engaged me via voice chat shortly before or during the incident, which made the situation feel unusual and raised concerns for me.

I also want to note that I lost a blue key template as part of this death, which is why I felt it was important to report this incident.

I understand that connectivity issues can happen, and I’m not certain whether this was caused by a server issue, a network hiccup, or something else. However, I wanted to report it in case it helps identify a potential problem or exploit.

If possible, could you please review the match logs around the time of this incident? I would also appreciate any clarification on whether this could have been caused by a known issue.
