Error Code Weasel

Even after the maintenance patch, I am still receiving the same error code weasel. I’ve been receiving this since day 1 of launch. Within a minute of being logged into the game it happens whether I’m in game or in the menu it doesn’t matter. I have tried every fix I’ve seen online and nothing has worked (short of upgrading to windows 11 because I am unable to). I did not experience this in the server slam and have never faced this in destiny 2.

    WEASEL is a connection/timeout error, which usually means the game is having trouble keeping a stable connection to our servers. A few things to try:

    If you’re on Wi‑Fi, please test on a wired Ethernet connection if you can.
    Fully power cycle your modem/router and platform (unplug the modem/router for ~30 seconds, then plug back in and restart your PC/console).
    Close or pause VPNs, big downloads/streams, and overlays or network “optimizers” while playing.

  • I understand you have to hit us with the copy paste answers, but those solutions don't work for the majority. There are over 2,253+ messages in the Marathon discord related to connectivity issues stemming from the "Weasel" error code. I'm not trying to sound rude or angry because I'm not, I'm just very anxious to play... but as someone who's trying a bungie game for the first time this isn't a great experience, especially when you have all these people complaining in the discord about how this was supposedly fixed in the server slam but is now a problem again and are getting zero input from staff/devs in the Discord. I can only imagine all the people getting the Weasel error who aren't speaking up (people who aren't in discord or just are the type to not use support) because there are 270+ steam reviews from people who say they couldn't complete the tutorial because they kept getting disconnected by the "Weasel" error, I imagine there's a lot more that refunded without a review do to this error. I also will be forced to refund the game in less than 2 weeks due to steams refund policy if this issue isn't fixed. I really hope I don't have too <3

    ✔ network stack reset                                                                                                                                                                                                    

    ✔ hotspot test

    ✔ ethernet test

    ✔ IPv6 test

    ✔ stable Steam connectivity

    ✔ UPnP

    ✔ Port Forwarding & Opening Ports

    ✔ Windows reinstall (only have a couple games I play and discord so windows issues are easy to test)

    ✔ Everything possible under the sun when it comes to router/network settings (even bridging)
