Issue Description
I am experiencing constant WEASEL disconnect errors. I can log into the game normally and even enter the tutorial or menus, but after about 30–50 seconds I get disconnected with a WEASEL error every time.

Approximate Date and Time of Occurrence
March 5–7, 2026 (still happening)

Steps to Reproduce
1. Launch Marathon through Steam
2. Log into the game successfully
3. Enter the tutorial or stay in the menu
4. After about 30–50 seconds, the game disconnects with a WEASEL error

Additional Information
I have already tried reinstalling the game, switching installation drives (C and D), using hotspot internet, changing DNS, checking firewall settings, and testing VPN. The issue still occurs consistently.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for the report. We're seeing a rise in reports about this occurring and are currently investigating. Although not an ideal workaround, in the meantime some players have reported success by re-installing Windows.

    Please also refer to our Network Troubleshooting Guide for troubleshooting in-case this is a WEASEL error caused by network issues.

  • Exact same thing for me, I've tried everything.

    Paid for the Deluxe edition and have not been able to play the game yet. I'll be refunding the game very soon if it's not fixed.

  • I'm in the same spot. I tried like 2 hours of diagnosing to see if there was a networking issue on my end, and I've been going in circles again this AM trying to fix. Incredibly frustrating.
