Have all the staff been laid off? It has been over a week since I sent my inquiry; why haven't I received a response?
Hello, I am a Korean player who has been consistently playing Destiny 2 and Marathon since 2018
I have been playing the game consistently since the Marathon launch in March, and I played right up until July 24th.
However, on July 25, a total of three people—myself and my friends—were permanently banned.
We did not use any unauthorized programs, nor did we direct verbal abuse or profanity at other players while gaming.
I contacted Bungie Support immediately after discovering on the 25th that my game account had been permanently banned, but I haven't received a response in over a week.
With *Destiny* service having ended and *Marathon* failing to even reach 10,000 concurrent players, what kind of massive volume of inquiries could there possibly be that is causing such a delay in responses?
An acquaintance of mine even submitted an inquiry about users employing hacks three months ago but still hasn't received a response.
Has the company become swamped with work after laying off half the staff? That doesn't seem to be the case, considering the person in charge of game balance had time to watch an online stream and spoil the balance patch details in the chat beforehand.
What exactly did we do to warrant a permanent ban? If there was an unauthorized program involved, what program was it? We only had harmless programs like G-HUB or OBS running.
An acquaintance of mine even encountered the Twitch streamer "Toonchie" multiple times in the same match in early July and killed him repeatedly; Toonchi then accused my acquaintance of hacking, and a staff member watching the stream proceeded to permanently ban them.
Afterwards, Toonchie reviewed the broadcast replay and clarified that they were not using hacks, yet the permanent ban was not lifted. Is this the right thing to do?
Is it because I am a Korean living on the other side of the globe that I am not being told the exact reason for the unfair action taken against me?
If I were an American and a Twitch streamer, would a staff member watching the stream have lifted the ban even if I had been permanently suspended?
I’ve consistently played *Destiny* and *Marathon*, sticking with them and trusting the games simply because they were fun—even as Bungie seemed to be in decline. What on earth is happening now?

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
If your account has incurred a ban, then the way to contact our Security team about it is through the Appeal Ban or Restriction Contact Form.
If you have already submitted a ticket, you have done all you can, and will need to wait for a response. Ban appeals are not conducted on the forums.
