Teammate and I crash mid-game
This has happened twice; however, the second time, my friend and I suddenly crashed without characters out in the open. Our other friends' POV shows us standing still. This was in a ranked lobby, so we got attacked immediately and lost all our gear without being able to fight back.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the game stability when trying to play the game.
To start out, if you are on PC, we'd recommend trying to verify the game file integrity through steam to see if it helps. If the issue persists, please ensure that all of your drivers, windows, and your BIOS are all fully up-to-date. Lastly, if those two steps don't help, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
If you are experiencing this on console, please go through this guide to reinstall Marathon on your console and clear your console's cache as well to see if that helps resolve the issue.
While Support can’t manually restore specific gear or runs, we do have a system that attempts to refund gear lost to certain server-side errors; this isn’t guaranteed and doesn’t cover crashes caused by local hardware, drivers, or Internet issues.
The maps this pertains to are the Cryo Archive from this past weekend and the Outpost ranked. We all lost our gear, ranging from a 15k kit value. The first time I crashed with friend A, who lives in Alaska. The second time I crashed with friend B, who lives in New York, the same state as me. This has ruined our ranked experience, and we don't know how to reproduce the bug.
I did everything you mentioned after the first crash, and yet it still happened again. Is there truly no way to get any gear back?

Unfortunately, support is unable to restore any lost loot.
If you are still running into the same issue with crashing, could you provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the link. We'd be happy to take a look and offer additional troubleshooting.
I find it hard to believe this is a hardware issue. Given that one of my teammates and I are in different regions but crashed at the same microsecond, this points to a server-side packet loss or party desync issue. And the other teammate that I crashed with lives within the same county.
