Cursor Becomes Unresponsive on Launch – Unable to Sign In, Game Freezes After ~1 Minute (RTX 4060 Ti / Windows 11)
Description:
When launching Marathon during the Server Slam, my mouse cursor becomes unresponsive as soon as I reach the main menu/sign-in screen. I am unable to click or select anything, including the sign-in option.
After approximately 45–60 seconds, the game freezes completely and becomes unusable. I have to force close the application via Task Manager.
This happens every time I launch the game.
Steps to Reproduce:

Launch Marathon from Steam

Game loads to main menu/sign-in screen

Cursor does not respond to input

After ~1 minute, the game freezes
Expected Result:
Cursor should function normally and allow navigation of menus and sign-in.
Actual Result:
Cursor is non-functional immediately, followed by a full freeze after about a minute.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your mouse cursor while playing the game. We are aware of some third-party utilities that can introduce this problem. Try closing any screen sharing, screen capture, or screen measurement utilities.
You can also try the following workaround to see if that helps resolve the issue:
also happens to me once i alt+tab out of screen. Controller plugged in, cursor will work fine. Mouse never comes back. Have to crash game.
I have the same issue, i can make it to the change brightness screen and then it freezes then crashes, i have similar specs to OP
