Marathon Application Stops Responding Mid Run - Forced To Shut Down Game (updated post)

- Description of Issue: Randomly in the middle of a run, windows will play a sound and I will be unable to move my mouse around anymore in the game. Right after, if I click again then the screen will grey out and task manager will tell me that the application has stopped responding, which forces me to close the game and restart. I am unable to consistently replicate this crash, as I have stood afk in 3 solo queue maps for the entire duration of the run without any issues, then immediately after I will load into cryo and I will have Marathon stop responding randomly in the middle of the run.
- Date it started: After the launch of season 2, or after the cpu optimization update came out, can't remember too well.
- Fixes that I have tried: Updating windows, updating my graphics drivers to the latest, updating my bios drivers to the latest, verifying integrity of game files, hard reinstalling the game (deleting download cache in steam and deleting the marathon folder in the steamapps folder, as well as deleting the cvars files), limiting fps (in case it was a cpu issue)

By any chance, are you seeing any error codes or messages when you experience this issue? If yes, then please let us know the names of the encountered codes, or what's written in the messages. We'll then review.
There are no error codes or messages when this happens. The program just stops responding then I have to close it through task manager or it crashes on its own after a few seconds. When I reopen the game i just get the reconnect to the game prompt.
