Crash when trying to load the main menu after the Season 2 update, unable to play
Here's a recording of the crash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O1e6t4anoI (Crash occurs @ 2:50, after the screen has gone black for the second time.)
I am on a Windows machine that ran Season 1 flawlessly, with fully updated GPU/CPU/BIOS drivers.
My specs: AMD Ryzen 6600H, RTX 3050, 16GB of RAM. I the only thing that seems like it could be unusual about my system is that I am running the game off of my E drive, which is a 2TB SSD, if a relatively slow one. (I mention this because I saw one post on the Steam forums claiming that this issue was fixed for them by moving the game to their C drive (https://steamcommunity.com/app/3065800/discussions/0/561406856400002577/#c561406856400029863), but that is not an option for my setup.)
Is there a crash log I could look at/upload here?
Edit: I've found the crash log folder. This feels like the most relevant bit, which is consistent across the last three crashes. It looks like my ID is SnepShark#4664.

Hello there,
Thanks for the report, and I’m sorry you’re running into this.
We are seeing reports of PC crashing after Season 2, so the fact that this started with the update, happens before you can even reach the main menu, and is preventing you from playing at all is helpful context.
The specs and troubleshooting details you included are also useful, especially that this was not happening in Season 1, the install is fresh, drivers are updated, and the shutdown/reboot happens consistently a few minutes after launch.
We’ll continue tracking reports like this.
I will pass along your report to the relevant channels for further investigation.
Same exact case here my guy. Been that way since Nightfall launch. It's a bit rarer than the network themed disconnects, so I think that's why Bungie is taking longer to identify it as a known issue, but more and more people are reporting it, so I believe it's only a matter of time.
