Ranked emblem
Good morning Bungie,
I am already aware that, in order to receive the emblem, it was necessary to reach Rank 1 within your division.
However, a player I regularly play with still received the Gold emblem despite only reaching Gold 3.
I would simply like to better understand how the reward system works and whether there may have been an issue with my rewards.

Thank you for the question.
The intended ranked reward setup is that Gold emblem eligibility starts at Gold I, not Gold III. Gold III is listed under the gameplay reward package track, while the Gold emblem is tied to reaching Gold I in the current season.
Ranked emblems also behave a little differently from some other rewards: they become available at the end of the ranked season, and after the season concludes, only the highest emblem you earned is shown for claim/equip.
So if another player truly only reached Gold III and received the Gold emblem, that would not match the intended reward setup based on the current design documentation.
If you’d like this looked at more closely, please include the player's Bungie Name, platform, the highest rank they reached this season, and a screenshot of this info along with emblem/reward state on their account.
