Cryo Archive - Heavy Desync

chimera#8364

Steam

The graphics for a door barrier in Control (towards the exfil zone between Cargo and Index) were not present, but the barrier continued to reset us to a position behind the exit as if it was closed. In a tense, high-stakes situation, multiple members of our squad ended up losing a significant amount of loot.

This occured at roughly 10:33 PM EST, May 08th.

No known reproducible steps, as this was the first time this has occured while playing for me.

Video proof is linked here: https://x.com/ichorplus/status/2052942063428133083

Any help or attention to the matter is appreciated!

    Hi there,

Thank you for reporting this and for including a video recording. I'm sorry to hear you experienced desync during a run in Cryo Archive. If you haven't already, please view our Network Troubleshooting Guide for detailed troubleshooting steps, just to rule out any potential networking issues and to prevent similar desyncs from reoccurring. You can also track your platform's server status to see if there were any outages.

If the lagging consistently reoccurs in this specific area of the map, please let me know so we may further investigate.

While Support is unable to manually return lost loot, we have a system in place that automatically refunds gear lost to a subset of server errors. Please note that this will not cover gameplay losses due to Internet connectivity or client-side problems.

  • Thank you for the prompt response! No worries at all on the loot. I've run through the troubleshooting guide and ensured everything is steady. I've been playing with a wired connection and have had an extremely low rate of server or client side issues beyond Cryo. I was unable to procure video proof for another instance of similar issues with another doorway in the map, this time as one of the doors to a Vault was not allowing us to pass through in identical fashion to the video above after having opened it. Both me and a teammate were eventually able to pass through the doorway by sliding repeatedly, presumably having relayed to the servers that we were physically beyond the threshhold of the door by the time it requested our position. I can also confirm in both situations that the problem seemed to be localized to one problem area, and did not typically affect other doorways on the map.

  • Hi again,

Thanks for the additional info, I really appreciate it!

Based on the details you've provided, I can confirm that this is an issue that is currently being addressed by our developers, where certain doorways in Cryo Archive are behaving like you described.

I appreciate all the information provided, and thanks for your patience and support while we work on this!
