Voice chat not working in match - PS5
Hi! When playing with friends on PS5 I’m able to hear them normally in both menus and in matches. But every so often (1 in every 5 or 6 matches) my voice chat cuts out completely once the run starts. I can see their microphone icon light up when they talk on their end, but I can’t hear anything, and they can’t hear me. I’m able to hear game audio just fine, and once the match ends it goes back to normal where I can hear and talk to them normally. Is there any fix to this currently? Or is it a known bug?

Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your voice chat in some matches. While most on this page pertains to PC, there is some additional information we encourage you to review about voice chat on our Audio & Voice help article. We've also recommend going through the in-game settings as well as your PlayStation settings to ensure that no settings may be standing in the way of your voice chatting. We'd recommend viewing Sony's help page on Voice Chat, paying additional attention to the "How to disable game chat audio on a PS5 console" section, as this toggle often causes issues with Voice Chat with other players.
Hopefully all this helps. If the issue persists however, to help us investigate the issue further, if feasible/possible, can you provide us with a short video showing the issue? Hi, thanks for your response. I’ve done all the trouble shooting re: looking into both marathon settings and PlayStation settings, different headsets, mics/controller mic, you name it. When the issue occurs, it happens randomly when a match starts and without any settings being adjusted. I’ve also checked my game and console voice chat settings when the issue does occur, and everything is as it should be. The most recent instance, I was using a regular pair of earbuds and the dual sense controller mic with the mute button turned off.
