Audio dropouts

Hi, I get audio dropouts that last for 1-2 seconds in the beginning of this game (I just started playing today). I tested with youtube and youtube plays even when Marathon audio bugs out for a second so its not my system. I tried turning off Windows Spatial Audio, FPS limited to 120 fps, VSync on/off, turned off voice chat but the issue remains.

What to do?

Playing via Steam.

    Hello there,
    Thank you for reaching out

A few more things worth trying:
Make sure your audio drivers (and GPU drivers) are fully up to date.
In Windows sound settings, set your output device to 48 kHz, 16-bit (or 24-bit) and disable any “enhancements” / special sound effects besides Spatial Audio.
If you’re using software like Nahimic, ASUS Sonic Studio, SteelSeries GG, Dolby Atmos apps, Voicemeeter, etc., try closing them completely and testing again.
Try forcing Marathon to a different output device (for example, if you’re on headphones, briefly swap to your monitor speakers and back).
If possible, test a quick match with all overlays/recording tools disabled (Discord overlay, GeForce Experience, Xbox Game Bar, etc.) to see if one of them is interfering.

We are aware of situations where audio can cut out intermittently and are currently looking into these situations.
If you are able to record a video, you can upload it to a site like Youtube, link it to us here, and we'll be glad to take a closer look.
