Ping Menu does not activate quick comms/weapon inspect/specific pings after remapping quick ping bind

**Description of Issue** -
I remapped my quick ping bind to L2+R3(press), I left the Ping menu bind unchanged to D-Pad Up(hold).
However when I use the ping radial it does display the menu and I can navigate the different options with the right joystick and change tabs like usual, but I cannot actually use any of them. I cannot use the pings, the comms or the weapon inspect.
I'm not sure whether that's a bug or not, but I do think I should be able to quick ping while aiming, and still be able to use the ping menu too.

I remapped the quick ping to L2+R3(press) at around 11pm Paris, France time on April 9 2026.
**Repro steps **-
Maybe the quick ping bind being different than the ping menu bind creates this issue.

Thank you for your report.
We are aware of similar situations where ping-related actions don’t fully respect custom bindings (e.g. R3 ping that can’t be properly remapped, and map pings only working on the default key even after a rebind). We are currently monitoring and investigating these situations.
If you are able to grab a screenshot of your rebinded keys or record a video, you can upload it to a site like Imgur or Youtube, link it to us here, and we'll be glad to take a closer look. This would help in identifying and further investigating what is going on.

Here's the screenshots of all my controller binds currently. Basically bumper jumper so I can aim at all time. Throwing equipment grenades is a bit awkward as a result, but it is what it is.
Also it's a shame that the game didn't go viral because I think it deserves it.
Also a way to toggle proximity voice chat on controller would go a long way. You can currently do that with push to talk but it's annoying because it cuts off and you have to press it again. If I could press right arrow, talk in proximity chat all I want even when I take pauses, then press right arrow again to go back to crew chat, that'd be great.
Another thing is a way to quickly rotate equipment. It'd be very useful to be able to press left arrow once to rotate through your equipment. That way I could quickly switch to whatever item I needed, especially on controller or when you have a couple equipment items.

Update: I think being able to somehow map multiple binds to the ping function would also be appreciated.
I'd love to be able to still ping with D-Pad Up even with L2+R3 already bound to it. Just like how I can still ping with only R3 while I have my knife out. L2+R3 is good for quick pings during fights but having to aim to ping when exploring is a bit awkward.
Just a suggestion.

Hello. I feel so stupid. I decided to rebind quick ping to Up D-PAD and I realized that I could now ping with either the D-Pad or L2+R3 or R3 while having my knife out.
The guy I was playing with said that this was a thing "since forever" haha.
It feels so good to be able to use the voice lines and weapon inspect, and be able to ping comfortably in any situation.
Thank you for making that change, and sorry for not realizing that it was already in the game for a while!
