Does trophy progress carries to next season
There’s a psn trophy that requires you to earn 100 season levels. Does the progress carries to the next season? Or I have to earn 100 levels in one season?

Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out.
No carry-over: you need to hit Season Level 100 within a single season.
Internally the “Seasoned Veteran / Seasonal Grindset” trophy simply checks whether your current Season Level has reached 100 once, then fires the unlock.
There’s no separate counter that adds up levels earned across multiple seasons, so getting (for example) level 60 in Season 1 and level 40 in Season 2 will not complete it.
it should carry over thats a bad move, the wording does not make it seem that way
First of all, the wording made it confusing. I hope there’s a way for you to change it and make it more doable for the community. I understand the season reset but don’t punish us trophy hunters with time limits…
Hi there, I hope you consider changing the requirements in the future. I love the game, and I'm going to keep playing, but the grind to 100 is real, and I have a full-time job and life commitments. So, unless double XP events start to happen regularly, it's going to be really difficult to hit 100 in a single season.
For what it's worth (probably not that much!) I do think this one is a step too far. I'd love to get the platinum trophy, but 100 levels in a season is just not feasible. I'm about level 67 and to do that again before the end of the season (due to level scaling) makes me think now I might just pause on the game for a while or get completely burned out.
I wish it carried over. I'm up for the grind to 100 but it will kill my desire if I'm back to 0 at Season 2 😓
Disappointing. This will keep me from periodically coming back to the game in the future.
I understand wanting to reward for players who reach level 100 and to be fair, achievements/trophies aren't all supposed to be easy.
But I actually thinking changing this to work across multiple season benefits both Marathon and the players.
This would not only allow players to not have to grind 150hours within a single season (which might be impossible for some), but would also make them come back to the game on different season and try stuff out, which would be great for the game.
If this was 150hours across the timespan of the game, it would be fine, but 150hours within a single makes it impossible for some people who have limited time to play but still wanna put in the work.
Brother that's rooooough. Idk how you're supposed to get this if you're an employed adult. And I don't even have kids! I just passed the 100 hour play time mark and I'm only like level 57.
I play 95%+ my matches in trios, trying to focus down a contract every run, maybe every 2 or 3 runs if I get unlucky. If I get stuck on a priority contract that's tough to pull off in trio, fill then I hop over to solo to get it done. Basically playing where my MAIN goal is to get that season XP for completing contracts.
Doesn't help that often when I try play in Oceania, unless it's peak hour I'm spending most my time sitting in queues for 10 minutes that just time out with errors oregano/quince because the game can't find enough players.
Yeah, it is a shame. And honestly I would rather prefer to keep coming back to the game in multiple seasons, rather than burn myself out.
It's just pretty discouraging knowing I am level 49 now and will lose that progress. I really enjoy the game, but I do like the sense of progress and working towards something, taking that away on season 2 will probably make me drop this.
Echoing what others have said. This is a real bummer. I currently have 66 hours of playtime, and I’m only level 43. There’s no way I’ll ever reach level 100 by the end of this season (or any season). It should be cumulative.
Poorly designed trophy, you should be able to get the 100 levels cumulatively.
Really hope this gets changed and it counts overall season levels. Is a great incentive to jump back in for Season 2 but have no chance as a mainly solo player in a single season.
I hope it changes from 100 levels in one season to cumulative over all the seasons. I have a full time job and not as many hours to dedicate to getting 100 levels in a season. It would definitely keep me playing knowing any progress I may make in one season carries over in the next.
Hi, adding my support for change here. I have recently been grinding Cyberacme contracts to get VIP status, as the description made it clear I needed to do that in one season. The wording of the 100 season levels one suggested that was just cumulative over time so I wasn't concerned about that one. Due to my focus on Cyac standard contracts, that has affected how I've played this game, shunning priority contracts for other factions until I got the VIP trophy. Was about to go back to playing normally and enjoying the ride but now I feel I've wasted a lot of time because lvl 100 in a single season is simply unattainable for someone like me.
Hate to bear bad news @Ed_Sib but even prio contracts alone won't be clearing you to 100. Towards the end of the main story/contracts content they're dropping like 600-800 XP per contract, but at where I am now at level 67 for example I need like 1500 XP per level. So clearing an entire 5-6 step contract storyline might only net you a couple levels, a few max.
So far the only reliable high-yield XP source I've seen suggested is "exfil Cryo". Which is pretty unlikely in crew fill, so mostly reserved for those with good premade crews or who are already high level/experienced. Really starting to feel like the only ways to obtain enough XP to achieve level 100 in time are either:
Jumping back again here with my findings.
Currently level 81 at 110 hours played.
Current method for getting XP is:
• Completing my and crew contracts.
• Killing UESC and Ticks.
• Killing other runners.
• Exfilling
Cryo is an XP machine because of the amount of kills.
A good Ranked run is also good xp if you manage to kill a team(s) and exfill
Anyways, the platinum trophy is around 150 hours, the time limit sucks if someone didn’t start day 1 of the season.
I posted a similar message yesterday, but it doesn't seem like it published to this forum for some reason. To reiterate what I said:
Search YT for how to level up fast in Marathon. A guy has done the research, and it's a myth that contracts do anything for your season level. You don't get any season level XP for contracts. Contracts only give faction reputation, which is completely unrelated.
These are the only things that give you season XP:
Of those things, only killing players is shared among all team members. Killing bots and opening containers has to be done by you individually to earn XP, your teammates actions don't help.
