Constant game crashes on Intel Core Ultra CPUs
Dear Bungie,
Since the most recent update, Marathon has been crashing repeatedly on my computer. In the past four hours alone, the game has crashed 7-8 times. While occasional crashes occurred before, the frequency has increased significantly.
While searching for solutions, I came across multiple reports from other users experiencing the same issue. The common factor appears to be the CPU - specifically, Marathon seems to have compatibility problems with Intel Core Ultra processors.
Could you please provide an update on when a proper fix might be available? At the moment, the only suggested solutions involve drastic steps such as performing a clean Windows reinstall, disabling all software, or reinstalling the game, which are not practical long-term solutions.
Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear you're dealing with this frustrating situation.
We can confirm the team has received reports of crashes of this nature and is looking into the situation. That said, you could try the following potential solutions in Tommy's reply below, which some players have reported success with.
Hello.
The fix I came up with: Updating your BIOS (from mobo manufacturers website via flash drive) and Intel Management Engine (also from mobo manufacturers website and NOT from intel website)
After that I suggest also: Go to the location where your game is installed, for me its C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marathon\battleye
Right click on Uninstall_BattlEye -> Run as Administrator -> uninstall it
Then Right click on Install_BattlEye -> Run as Administrator -> install it
You can also just delete the insides of this folder and game/steam will redownload it back.
Also make sure are your firmware is updated. Fully. Every possible driver.
If that doesnt work then I am out of ideas and this probably needs official fix.
Tommy.
I came to the forums to make sure at least is one is posting about this issue.
I am in the same boat and cannot play the game due to constant crashes after most recent update.
I have updated all drivers and my BIOS and the crashing continues.
Hey, just chimming in that I also had the issue. It's definitely related to Intel Ultra series CPUs. Thankfully for me the BIOS update workaround did fix the issue for me.
Still having the same issue - tried all suggestions and the game crashes constantly. Must be less widespread that I thought, but I still cannot play this game.
Still having issues after Bios updates and such
