Opening map reliably crashes game
I can now reliably count on the game to crash at least once during a session when I open my map, to the point where i'm afraid to open my map now.
Platform- Steam
Issue- Opening map reliably and consistently crashes game to desktop.
Date/Time of Issue- Literally at least once a session. Yesterday it happened 3 times in a 4 hour window. I am sick of losing loot to people killing my AFK body.
Steps to cause issue- Step 1) Open map. Step 2) Crash to desktop.
Can you at least put a band-aid on this? If someone disconnects, can they go invisible for one minute?

To add further info, this is not map/condition specific. Rain or fog, Perimeter or Outpost, you can bet on your game crashing at some point if you open the map.
Thanks for confirming that you're looking into it. I'd really appreciate if there's some kind of post/announcement when you've found this issue, because I think I'm done playing until this is fixed. I'm tired of losing my full inventory because I wanted to look at my map. Please consider the temp fix I suggested.
I have lost so much of my good gear because of this crap. It is ruining the game for me. Is there an ETA for a fix for this? It would be a great idea to send out a BIG care package to people or just reclaim lost loot.
Can you refund my team and myself kit after dying to this crash, we had full kits around 10k each and lost it all in seconds because we crashed after opening the map
I have the same problem, and it's such a bummer that I was getting into this game and I randomly lose kits to game crashes.
Opening the map while jumping almost always causes a crash.
exact same thing just happened to me, lost a very good kit to it. Happens atleast 2-3 times a day
yep it has happened to me as well - full kit get nuked by the map
Most of my crash instances are opening map before you are able to move at the start of a round or right after. Opening while jumping or interacting with a door. There have been a few random instances where ill be completely standing still , open map and crash.
