I cannot play with the controller.
I'm trying to play this game on my PC using a PS5 controller. While I can play the game itself, if I use the mouse during gameplay, the controller stops working.
If I click on the secondary monitor to take focus away from Marathon, the controller works again, but then I only get 30fps.
Is there any solution for this?

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out.
A few things to try that have helped with similar input/focus issues:
Run fullscreen on your primary monitor
In Settings → Video, set Display Mode to Fullscreen on the monitor you actually play on.
Avoid clicking on the second monitor while you’re in a match; when the game loses focus, controller input and FPS can drop as the window is treated as running in the background.
Check for remapping/overlays
If you’re using Steam Input, DS4Windows, DualSenseX, or similar, try disabling those temporarily and running the controller as a standard device.
Close any overlays (Discord, GeForce, etc.) while you test.
USB vs Bluetooth + different port
If you’re on Bluetooth, try a wired USB connection.
If already wired, swap to a different USB port (directly on the motherboard if possible)
Thank you for your reply.
Disabling Steam Input made it easier to switch back to controller input than before, but the same problem still persists.
I do live streaming, so I need to interact with other windows while playing.
Even when I return focus to the game, I often can't use the controller.
In other games, I can smoothly switch back from mouse to controller input when performing similar actions.
Is the best solution simply to avoid touching other windows while playing?
This might be a bit off-topic, but I’d really appreciate it if there were more options for controller sensitivity settings!
I have no complaints about the camera speed, but the cursor speed is a bit slow, which bothers me.
