Marathon does not launch
When I try to launch the game, a black window opens and closes after a few seconds without any errors. I verified file integrity, completely reinstalled the game on another drive, but nothing helped.

A black window briefly opening then closing with no error usually points to a PC launch / client‑side issue rather than an in‑game crash. A few things to try:
Run everything as admin & kill overlays
Close Discord, GeForce/AMD overlays, recording/monitoring tools, and any VPNs.
In Steam/Epic and on Marathon.exe, use Run as administrator once to test.
Update drivers and Windows
Make sure GPU drivers (NVIDIA/AMD) and Windows updates are fully current.
If you recently updated drivers, a clean reinstall via the GPU control software can help.
BattleEye / security software
Reinstall BattleEye from the BattlEye folder in your Marathon install (Run as admin).
Temporarily disable or create exceptions for your antivirus/firewall for:
Marathon.exe
the launcher
BEService.exe / BattleEye
Check Windows Event Viewer
Open Event Viewer → Windows Logs → Application.
Look for an Error entry at the time of the failed launch that mentions Marathon.exe or your GPU driver and note the faulting module name.
The other options didn't help
