Same here. Happens with all knife skins. It unequips after every loss.
Bungie Support , I have tested it with thief and recon.

i have the same issue aswell, every time i die my knife skin goes back to the default one. i just want to have deluxe edition knife to be equipped all the time instead of having to unequipp and reequip my knife every time i die
