Still can't get past sign in screen after a week

Hello

I reported on not getting past sign in screen about a week ago. The only way I can play is by having VPN turned on. I played perfectly before patch 1.0.5.2. There are a lot of people who have reported of having the same problem. I have tried every troubelshooting that bungie has provided but no result. This isn't my internet issue because I can connect to every other game perfectly even other bungie game (Destiny 2).

    As I stated in the post I have tried every troubelshooting guide that bungie has provided in forums and in guides. Other players have been reporting on the same issue, and it is not my internet becuase I played before patch 1.0.5.2 with my internet and my internet hasn't had any change in settings and other things.

  • Hello hi, have you checked out the "Open NAT type" or "Public IP" your ISP / Operaattori is offering?. Because at least on Elisa, it's a free addition to your internet services. All you have to do is, log into your modem, change your APN to the one your ISP's website advices you to pick. 

    If that doesn't help, just change your APN. Yesterday I switched it like it was advised, just to be blocked in "Signing In" screen just now. But I just changed my APN to the previous one, and now it works again.

    Let's pray they actually fix this so we don't have to keep doing stuff like this.

  • Hello Limonaadipoiss. I’m a PS5 runner from Japan, and I’ve been facing the same "Signing in" loop for about 10 days now.

    Tevu, thank you for the technical advice! Changing the APN/IP settings is a great idea, but on PS5, we have fewer options to tweak those deep network settings compared to PC. It’s a bit frustrating.

    Like you all, the latest update (1.0.5.3) did nothing for me. I actually tried to post a new thread with my detailed logs, but it’s still "Awaiting Approval" for some reason. So, I’m joining this thread to stay updated and add my voice as a PS5 user.

    We're all in different regions, but we're fighting the same bug. Let’s hang in there until the next weekly maintenance. Good luck to us all!

  • After a computer restart, it might stop working again. But just change the APN back and forth, and your Marathon "should work" again.
