Same problem here. I use 3.5 mm jack cabled Sennheiser HD 400S headphones with built-in mic. In the audio mixer the recording device is called "Intel Smart Sound Technology for digital microphones"...

No. I tried two more headsets. One with a 3.5 mm jack connection and one with USBc connection. The result is the same: the mic is recognized but no sound comes out.
