Right-click Marathon in your Steam Library > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Let this complete and then try launching again. Then you could try to reinstall Bat...

update: uninstalling and reinstalling loaded 2 more seconds lol but that's it.

Also cleared the Steam cache, currently reinstalling the game to see if this fixes it.
