Gear loss after “monkey” error code during match again
Unfortunately, I have to contact Bungie support again.
Today at 7:19 PM Moscow time, your servers crashed, and a large number of players were kicked from the game with the “monkey” error code. I already encountered this issue previously, and I still have not received the 30,000 worth of loot that was lost at that time.
The fact that this is an issue with your servers is confirmed by the fact that my friend and I, who are located several thousand kilometers apart, were disconnected at the same time with the “monkey” error and were unable to reconnect to the run. Afterward, I went to your forum and saw two posts about the exact same error and issue, made during the same time period.
Over the past two weeks, I and my friends’ party have lost more than 250,000 worth of gear due to the “monkey” error. If your system fails again this time and I do not receive my gear back within 48 hours, I will boycott the game and, through content creators covering Marathon—many of whom I personally know—I will promote a boycott among other players.
For the developers of an extraction shooter to claim that they cannot manually restore gear, at least via a support ticket, in cases where their own servers fail seems like a foolish and naive lie.

Thank you for your report.
We are aware of a temporary blip that caused some players to be disconnected from Marathon and have since resolved it.
We've additionally seen reports that the automatic lost loot protection did not work for all players who encountered this issue. While we are unable to directly refund gear lost due to this issue for everyone, we'll be providing a Deluxe Sponsored Kit to players who were online around the time of the error. Keep an eye on your mailbox over the next couple of days for this to be delivered. Apologies for any inconvenience.
