Audio is a lot weaker when using headphones and a dac
I was using a PS5 and the DAC though the USB. I recently switched to using the DAC through the tv and there is a huge difference in what you can hear.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
We would recommend that you try the troubleshooting steps in PlayStation’s PS5 audio settings guide. It covers audio output, headphone volume, and other settings that may help.
It isn't that I don't hear anything or that it isn't functional it's that a lot of the resolution is lost. For example when I am using the headphones through the TV I can hear rain and footsteps very clearly. When I am using the PS5 USB DAC option the rain noise is completely gone and the footsteps are faint.
I'll concede this might purely be a PS5 processing issue. I would use the TV audio exclusively but there is another issue. When using TV audio all the voice chat goes through the controller so I can't hear my team mates.
Sorry for the double post.
So the issue is either I use the USB DAC option and lose some resolution or use the TV DAC option and lose access to team chat.
