Zonewarden title completion, hammer/anvil bugged specifically.
I just ran solo Perimeter trying to complete the Hammer/Anvil codex entry, killed a runner by punching them to death and another by EMP, flechette, and frag 'nading them to death. The codex entry didn't complete.
It was at about 3pm Pacific.
Ever since the change to grenade economy the only way to do this is to bring in a ton of advanced ammo crates to get extra grenades in-raid. It's kind of a pain in the neck to pull off in the first place, and extra annoying that it didn't register for completion.

I just did it again, making sure to punch one runner to death and to only use frag 'nades on another to kill them, and the codex entry still didn't complete.
I just tried this again on Perimeter at 2:10pm Pacific on 10/5/2026.
I loaded in Solo into a Trios lobby. I walked around looking for a squad that would help me out. I found Robo-Ky, MokaBerry, and CrescentMage. We went out into the water behind Overflow. One of them let me knife them to death. Knife only damage. Not even a finisher. Then another one of them let me 'nade them to death. I threw only frag nades and heat nades at them, because that's what the half-dozen+ ammo crates gave me to throw at them. I had them drop their shield on the ground so that they'd go down easier. I downed them with frag nades and all I had left were heat nades, so I chucked those at them, and they died.
They revived each other and killed me, per our agreement going into this little test. Exited the lobby, checked the Codex... nothing.
I do not have my PC setup to record or stream any of my gaming. I assume the game logs/metrics associated with all 4 of our respective accounts will show the above having happened.
What even are the criteria for completing this Codex entry, because I've now done it several times in a variety of conditions. Mixed damage to down with melee & frag eliminations. Melee-only & grenade-only damage for downing and elimination. The only thing I haven't been able to try is melee-only & frag-only downing and elimination because the grenade economy makes nearly impossible to bring enough frag nades into a lobby to do that, even when the player drops their shield on the ground.
I just did it AGAIN, on Perimeter at about 10:45pm Pacific. I ran solo in a trio lobby. I found a random crew willing to help. Only Pliskin_gEaR shows up in my recent players list though. I don't have the other two people he was with.
They even lent me a couple frag nades. I punched him to death. No knife. Just punches all the way. The most melee of melee attacks. His teammate revived him after he was eliminated. Then I threw a heat nade at him, accidentally thew a chem nade at him and had him back out of it, downed him with a flechette nade, and then eliminated him with frag nades.
Either there's something absolutely broken about this codex entry or the conditions for achieving it are so insanely restrictive as to be utterly impossible and ridiculous... especially in the current grenade economy.

While we appreciate the detailed report, we really need to see some footage of the issue in action in order to escalate this to the devs. To that point, if this keeps happening, please try capture a brief video that shows the issue occurring. You can upload the footage to a public video hosting site, like YouTube, then post the link here and we’ll be glad to take a look.
Should any of what I did have worked? What are the actual, specific, concrete criteria for this codex entry to complete?
It’s a non-trivial amount of work for me to sort out how to do the recording on my PC, which is not a thing I’ve done before, then to try to kit up with enough grenades to make this even possible to attempt, and then to wander around the map on open prox chat looking for a team that will even help me instead of just eliminate me on sight (which happened multiple times), hope that I can do enough grenade damage to even down & eliminate a player, sort out uploading the clip and come back and share it here.
Now that the game is undergoing its next seasonal reset, it’s not even feasible for me to attempt testing this again until I reinvest a LOT of time in unlocking all the necessary gear/upgrades AGAIN to be able to try.
The developers can load into empty controlled lobbies in seconds. I can’t.
The easier thing to do other than wasting more time doing any of the above is to just click the “uninstall” button in Steam and download ARC Raiders, I guess. Especially since the seasonal reset is happening and all my progress in Marathon just got wiped anyway.
