1 Squad Compiler Kill - No Skin

Bungie ID: BLUEKASM#8555 Platform: Steam Last night (9/4/2026) at around 1:00AM, me and my squad defeated compiler, however, I did not get awarded the skin. I was a recon. This was my first ever compiler kill and I have been playing since S1, I am not sure I will be able to do this again and am wondering why I didn’t get the skin. I did get hits on compiler, so I’m not sure what went wrong. Is this a bug? I would highly appreciate it if you could look into this if you get an opportunity. I can provide screenshots. Please let me know if you need more info. Thank you.

    Thank you for reaching out and for reporting this.

    Please provide the following details to add to your report:

    • Did your crew start the Compiler encounter?
    • Did you personally hit the Compiler’s exposed weak spot when it was exposed?
    • Do you have video or screenshots showing those hits?
    • Did you exfil successfully?
    • Did your friends get the skin/Codex from the same run? If so, what are their Bungie IDs?
    • Was the missing reward just the skin, or also Codex progress?

    If you have a video or clip from the encounter, you can upload the footage to a public video hosting site, like YouTube, then post the link here and we’ll be glad to take a look. For screenshots, you can upload them to imgur or twitter/x and share the links here.

    I also have screenshots of the codex entries showing the compiler kill and the one where I exfilled the compiler trace. I don’t know how to upload the screenshots.

    • Did your crew start the Compiler encounter? - Yes. My squad started the DNA sequence and started the encounter and we were the only team in the room and only team in the fight.
    • Did you personally hit the Compiler’s exposed weak spot when it was exposed? - Yes. 
    • Do you have video or screenshots showing those hits? - I do not have video as I do not record my gameplay. I do not have screenshots of the fight with compiler (I was in the compiler fight, once we emp'd the compiler and brought it's shields down, we all hit him)
    • Did you exfil successfully? - Yes screenshot is provided 
    • Did your friends get the skin/Codex from the same run? If so, what are their Bungie IDs? - The squad I ran with already did compiler before, they already have all the skins and codex entries. Here are their Bungie IDs: LUV#4493 GBO_510#0142
    • Was the missing reward just the skin, or also Codex progress? The codex entry for defeating compiler, the post exfil screenshot is linked, and the screenshot of the codex entry with the missing recon skin, S'Phiticide:Recon shows 0/1,  are all linked below via X links to them.

    Hello, just checking on this again. I would like to know for my own sanity's sake if this will or will not be addressed. I have been checking for updates, but if this will no longer be something to look into, I would understand and just move on. Thank you!
