Cryo archive laser effects bug.
I was running in cryo archive as Vandal. I tripped a laser and then succumbed to the hacked effect which is to be expected.
The problem is I wound up stuck in a loop where it would start counting down then it would suddenly go to zero after only counting down for a few seconds and then it would reset. I was constantly in and out of the visual effect that being hacked causes to you. It was happening over and over again and did not stop. It really messed with my ability to actually play. This went on for some time then I discovered that it kinda stops if you crouch. As I did this I used an OS debug item that was in my inventory. A short bit after this it went right back to doing it but then I suffered from even MORE effects. These new effects where healing being slowed and ability recharge being paused. This lasted the rest of the game till I died and the run was over.
To reproduce this bug you simply walk into a laser and get unlucky enough for this to randomly happen.
As for the expected result of walking into a laser that would be succumbing to the hacking effect for a short duration.
Once its countdown is over the hacked effect is gone.
According to reports many others have also suffered from this same bug.
I know that loosing a run and your gear is simply part of the game and that you hafta deal with it happening. Especially in cryo where the stakes are high.
But it was a really cruddy and aggravating experience loosing in cryo this way. Our run in cryo was going so well till this happened.
I am over it now but I still wish that did not happen.
platform I was playing the game on:
