Unable to use text chat

Unable to open text chat on PC with controller or k&m. Controller player and would usually use text chat when not using mic, and would achieve this by pressing enter on the keyboard and typing. Text chat does not appear. Also when using runner social actions such as saying "thank you" or "follow me", the text box no longer appears with the log in. PC via Steam, steaminput disabled

Thanks for the report

First, can you please try the following if you haven’t already:
- Make sure Text Chat is enabled in Settings.
- Try opening chat with the controller shortcut: hold D-Pad Up + LB/L1.
- Try opening chat from the text chat icon in the bottom bar.
- Check whether any account or platform restrictions, such as parental controls, could be disabling chat.
If it still doesn’t work after those steps, please share the following:
- Is Text Chat is enabled in Settings?
- Does the controller shortcut work?
- Whether the bottom-bar text chat icon works
- A short video showing the issue in-game
