Game does not recognize keyboard input 100% of the time

Description of issue: 

Marathon likes to do what I am asking it to do via my keyboard most of the time, but not all of the time. I do not encounter this issue in any other app or game. This is most frustrating in a match, but it also happens much more frequently in the menus, where it's easier for me to capture a video (see below for link.)

In the clip, I am mashing my C key to try and convert four implants to cradle XP, and it takes some time for the game to register this. Then, though I was holding down the F key the entire time to convert matter, the game doesn't recognize that the key was held down the entire time.

Again, I don't have these issues in any other program on this computer and have never had issues with this keyboard in the years I've been using it. It is a standard USB keyboard plugged in via a USB 2 port on the rear of the machine, not on the front panel or a USB hub.

Rough date and time of issue: has been happening for at least a week. The video below was taken at 10:30 PM Pacific on July 12, 2026

    Could you please try the following troubleshooting to see if it helps resolve the issue:

    • Close any apps that add overlays or capture the game, then restart Marathon. This includes apps like Discord, OBS, MSI Afterburner, RTSS/RivaTuner, Nahimic, Sonic Studio, and Sizer.
    • If you were streaming, screen sharing, or recording, stop while testing. If possible, do not capture the Marathon game window directly.
    • Restart the game and test again where the issue happens most often, like menus or the Vault.

    If the issue still happens, let us know whether controller input works normally while keyboard input remains delayed or inconsistent, and whether the issue gets worse over longer play sessions.
