Newest Update Causing Memory Leak and Crashing
Since applying the latest update, I’ve experienced frequent crashing, seemingly due to a memory leak. My game to crashed 3 times in an hour long session. Task manager said Marathon was using 9,000% of my memory. The game refused to crash with an error message, it would totally freeze and close, having to be ended through task manager. Seems like a memory leak but I’m not an expert. Before the most recent update in roughly 480 hours of gameplay I had maybe 1-2 crashes.
I have a pretty decent pc, can run most games on their highest settings at 1440.
My PC Specs are
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
64 GB RAM DDR5 6000MHz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the game’s stability when trying to play the game.
To start out, we'd recommend trying to verify the game file integrity through steam to see if it helps. If the issue persists, please ensure that all of your drivers, windows, and your BIOS are all fully up-to-date. Lastly, if those two steps don't help, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
If you still run into the same issue despite all of this, can you provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the link. Also, do you have any error codes in your Event Viewer?
Hi Bungie Support, thanks for the response.
My drivers, windows, and bios are up to date. Steam found no issues with the integrity of the game files. I'll keep an eye out for additional crashes and report back if they persist.
I'm not super technical, but below are my DxDiag and Event Viewer error details.
Below is a copy of my DxDiag.

The error code in my event viewer is Event 1002, Application Hang
