Request for Steam Account Unlink Due to Stolen Account
Hello Bungie Support,
I am requesting your assistance with my Bungie account due to an exceptional situation.
My Bungie account is currently linked to a Steam account that was stolen from me, and I no longer have access to it. I still have full access to my Xbox account, which is linked to the same Bungie account, and all of my game progress is there.
I would like to continue playing Marathon and future Bungie games on both Xbox and PC using my current main Steam account. However, I cannot do this because the stolen Steam account remains permanently linked to my Bungie account.
I understand Bungie’s current policy regarding permanent account linking, but I respectfully ask if an exception can be made due to the fact that the linked Steam account was compromised and is no longer under my control.
I am willing to provide any proof of ownership of my Bungie account, Xbox account, purchase history, or any other information necessary to verify my identity.
Thank you for taking the time to review my request. I sincerely hope there is a way to preserve my progress while allowing me to use my current Steam account.

Due to mandatory security policy, Bungie is not able to remove connected platform accounts from Bungie.net profiles under any circumstances.
If your account has been compromised, we are unable to assist you, and you will need to contact your platform's support for account recovery. Account security is up to each player, and we encourage players to secure their game accounts by following our Account Security Guide so that they don’t have a chance to be compromised.
