Mouse lag no matter what

I played the game a few days ago without any issues besides marmot which went away when I restarted steam for some reason. Today (June 23rd) I went to play and my mouse was moving slowly on the main screen which was odd since I can play this game easily on my rig. I tried to click on Vault and it didn't go, which was my first moment of true "what's happening" and raw confusion. So I quit the game to see if something just went wrong. Nope, this issue persisted through reinstalling, disabling ALL overlays, restarting steam, restarting my PC itself, and many other attempts at various fixes.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Sorry you're dealing with this. Please try the following workarounds:

    • Fully quit Discord, not just the overlay, and then relaunch the game.
    • In Discord, turn off in-game overlay, Always-on Clipping/game clipping, and hardware acceleration, then restart the game afterward. 
    • Disable the Steam Overlay and relaunch the game. That stopped menu mouse stuttering for some affected players.
    • Close any background screen capture, screen sharing, or screen measurement/window-management utilities before launching. 
    • If your mouse software allows it, lower the mouse polling/report rate to 250 Hz or 125 Hz and test again. 
    • If you're streaming, try streaming your full display instead of the game window/application directly.

    I have done all of the steps above and the issue remains. The issue happening as suddenly as it has is what leads me to believe this isn't something I can fix on my end. Nothing in my PC setup or settings have changed in the time between normal gameplay and this issue beginning.
