Ginger error, followed by constant Weasel error

Had a matchmaking issue where someone quit just before a Trios game is about to start (at "contracts loading" screen) and returned GINGER error. I clicked on retry and was given a WEASEL error. 

After resetting my router, my PC, verifying integrity of game files, the WEASEL error persists. I'm starting to believe it might be an account issue since I could play any other game perfectly, my connection is all fine, and there's multiple reports in this very forum for people with different accounts being able to play the game normally.

  • Bungie Account Name - physfreq#7999
  • Platform - Steam
  • Description of Issue - GINGER error followed by consistent WEASEL error, suspected account being in bad state
  • Rough Date and Time of issue - 1:25am UTC

We've received some reports of this issue and are investigating the underlying issue further. For the time being, we sadly do not have any additional troubleshooting outside of our Basic and Advanced Network Troubleshooting Guides, and the Help Article for the code, if you'd not tried them before.

  • i had the same thing happen this morning! Still cannot get in.

  • Came back from work to find myself being able to log into the game as usual now, with my gear still intact. Kinda crazy I can get locked out of the game just because someone in the crew disconnected during the loading screen, I believe a new specific error code has to be made for this...
