Please split the PS5 trackpad into 2 zones or fix trackpad behaviour

Hi there,

I'm sorry it it's not the intended forum to make suggestions but on console, there's a lot of bindings and a limited amount of buttons on controller.

It would be great to split the trackpad into at least 2 zones, left trackpad and right trackpad, so there are 2 buttons to assign. It could even be split into 4 zones. Right now it's just one big button.

Also, trackpad rebinding is clunky when you bind multiple actions to the trackpad. If I try to rebind for example Open Map to Hold and Open Inventory to Press, it doesn't work as intended. 

Either fix this behaviour or split the trackpad into zones.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the report.

    As a workaround, please try restoring your controller bindings to default first. If you'd prefer not to fully reset them, try moving one of the trackpad actions off the trackpad so it is no longer handling both Press and Hold at the same time.

    If the issue still happens after that, please let us know:

    • Which action is set to Trackpad Press
    • Which action is set to Trackpad Hold
    • Whether this happens every time or only sometimes
    • Whether it starts immediately after changing the binding or only after entering an activity
    • A short video showing the binding setup and the issue in-game
