Broccoli error within 5-10 minutes of booting game
Game crashes within ten minutes every time i start the game, even in the menu before loading into a match. This is accompanied by a driver timeout message from adrenalin. Sometimes i don't even get a broccoli error, it just hangs/black screens and requires being killed in task manager
It's a fresh windows install, i have DDU'd my gpu drivers and reinstalled (I rolled back to the last major adrenalin version/drivers which didn't change anything), I have no overclock set on CPU/GPU. I have verified game files, uninstalled/reinstalled marathon, and ran DSIM/SFC tools.
I've kept an eye on system resources and there aren't any spikes as the crash happens.
I've also followed all steps outlined by support in this thread (disabling overlays, graphics on low, fullscreeen/windowed etc)
The ONLY way I've found to play the game for longer than ten minutes is to disable XMP in the bios and run at stock speeds.
The crash seems to be 100% reproducible if XMP is enabled, when disabled i was able to play for an hour or so around midday and late evening 2026/06/04
Last crash at approx: 2026/06/05 18:00-19:00 BST
OS: windows 24h2 (dualboot with cachyOS linux, both are on the same drive)
Platform: steam
CPU: amd 5600x
GPU: amd 7700xt
Drivers: 32.0.31019.2002
RAM: 32gb 3600 cl18 ddr4 (4 sticks)
Monitors: 2, both 1440 - one runs at 60hz & my main runs at 180.

Hi there,
Thanks for the detailed report.
I understand you're encountering the error code BROCCOLI.
Since you’ve already gone through the usual troubleshooting and the crashes appear to stop when XMP is disabled, this points more toward a system memory stability issue than a simple game file or settings problem.
For now, the best next step would be to keep XMP disabled while playing Marathon. If you want to keep testing, you could also try a lower RAM speed instead of your full XMP profile, update your motherboard BIOS and chipset drivers if needed, and test with a single monitor connected just to reduce variables.
