I believe this should've counted for the challenge but its not unlocked,
I also understand this may not be the "intentional" way to get it but I feel like it should still count

Hi there,
Thanks for the report
After reviewing it, this looks like it likely did not meet the specific condition needed for progress on the Riposte Mastery Challenge, so it would not have counted toward completion. Your clip appears to show the other runner throwing a projectile, but it does not appear that the attack is successfully intercepted before they are defeated.
In the clip you see that the defence system does intercept the projectile as indicated by the counter at the bottom centre of the screen, so I disagree when you say "it does not appear that the attack is successfully intercepted"
The 9 pip counter goes to 8/9 before I get the kill
