Freezing then crashing mid-run

Ever since the season 2 update, I have had issues with my game freezing and then crashing in every single run. Here are the things I have already tried:

  • Verify integrity of game files (before and after uninstall/reinstall)
  • Uninstall and reinstall Marathon via Steam
  • Update BIOS / UEFI
  • Update NVIDIA graphics drivers
  • Check for Windows update (none)
  • Cap frame rate in game
  • Lower graphics settings in game
  • Change to windowed mode instead of fullscreen
  • ALL overlays, including Discord, Steam, Xbox game bar, etc... are all fully disabled
  • All background applications are closed while the game is running
  • Different maps and shells and queues (I've frozen/crashed as Rook in Night Marsh & Night Marsh sponsored, I just tried solo on Perimeter and also crashed. Last night I was having issues in 3-person and solo Night Marsh)

Over the course of troubleshooting this evening, the time I'm able to stay connected has drastically decreased too. At the beginning of the night, I could get maybe 5 minutes into a run before everything would freeze (i.e. my cursor would be frozen over an item when looting a container). Just now, I tried loading into a different map (Perimeter instead of sponsored night marsh) and I couldn't even get in.

Audio cuts out during the freeze. Alt+F4 does nothing, and it takes quite a while for the game to close via task manager.

I was also frequently getting stuck on the contract loading screen before getting into a run. Audio would cut in and out and none of the contracts would appear, and then after several minutes I would eventually load in to the map
